Jake Sowers

Coach Jake Sowers was born in Cambridge, OH where he began wrestling at the age of 7. He attended Cambridge High School and was a 3x letter winner and captain of both the varsity football and wrestling teams. Coach Sowers set the single game rushing total at 1,554yrs. his junior football season.  

As a wrestler Sowers was OVAC and ECOL tournament champion earning the Most Valuable Wrestler Award in both.   As a multi-sport athlete, Sowers decided to primarily focus on his football career at the University of Mount Union College, where he ultimately helped the team win a national championship. 

After college, Coach Sowers moved to Hilton Head, South Carolina in 2003. Coach Sowers has coached all levels of wrestling throughout his career.  Coach Sowers’ objective, simply put, is to see the growth and participation within the sport of wrestling increase exponentially throughout the state of South Carolina, while creating a championship environment for the Reverence Wrestling team.  This not only includes enhancing team performance, but also individually developing and mentoring students of all ages in an effort to help them take their academic and athletic abilities to the next level.
